DraftKings to co-brand sports bars in Tennessee and Michigan

The sports betting company is to launch co-branded dining venues to promote sports wagering in the states of Tennessee and Michigan.

US.- DraftKings has announced it is teaming up with sports bar chain Sports & Social to create co-branded dining establishments.

The first two sports bars will be located in Nashville and Detroit pending respective regulatory approval from Tennessee and Michigan authorities.

The Nashville location will not have any betting service as Tennessee only allows sports betting on mobile devices. The Detroit venue won’t directly facilitate sports betting either, but it will have screens showing games, odds and scores.

Sports & Social is a company owned by the Cordish Companies, a private company that operates commercial and residential property including restaurants, gaming establishments, and developments in sports venue districts.

The companies indicated that more cities will follow. Sports & Social has locations at Busch Stadium in St. Louis and Truist Park in Atlanta.
