Yokohama names IR committee
The city has named the participants in the committee that will decide on its IR bid.
Japan.- Yokohama city has named the main positions on the committee that will decide on the private operator for its intended integrated resorts bid.
Former finance minister Eisuke Sakakibara has been appointed chairman of Yokohama’s Operator Selection Committee. Professor Norihiro Nakai of the Tokyo Institute of Technology was selected as the chairman’s deputy.
The committee includes seven experts from various fields. It will now solicity proposals and select prospective operators for the city’s IR bid to recommend to city Mayor Fumiko Hayashi for the final decision.
