Suncity expects to open Manila casino in late 2022

Other areas of the Westside City Project will be inaugurated in 2023.

The Philipines.- Suncity expects to open its new Manila casino in the Philippines by the end of 2022.  

The grand opening for the rest of the Westside City Project is slated for the beginning of the following year.  

A spokesperson has said the company is confident it will be able to keep to the schedule to a grand opening in 2023 despite the interruption of work in June due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  

“We would like to open the doors of the casino floor as early as possible, targeting 2022 year-end,” the operator said.

The operator has been making deposits into its Philippines subsidiary, Suntrust Home Developers, to fund the Westside City Project.  

According to a company filing from July, the integrated resort at Manila’s Entertainment City will include 400 gaming tables, 1,200 slot machines across VIP and mass gaming, and 400 five-star hotel rooms.
