Japan’s second-largest pachinko hall operator, Dynam Co., Ltd, has resumed operations at 101 branches in 12 prefectures.
Dynam had previously closed branches in accordance with local government requests.
Many local governments have now eased Covid-19 restrictions, paving the way for pachinko halls to reopen under new measures.
This includes a reduction in the number of machines as well as prohibiting players from outside each prefecture from playing and serving customers without conversation.
At the end of April, it was reported that certain pachinko halls in Osaka were forced to close after they continued operating and ignored government requests to close.
