Okada Manila changes name to UE Resorts International
Okada Manila International has confirmed it will change its name to UE Resorts International Inc to better reflect its international expansion plans.
The Philippines.- Okada Manila International Inc, the holding company behind Okada Manila, has announced that it will change its name to UE Resorts International Inc. According to the company, the change is to reflect a more international scope as it plans to expand in Asia and other parts of the world.
The announcement comes after the company agreed a merger with 26 Capital Acquisition Corporation last month. Through the merger agreement, Okada Manila will receive up to $275m, which it will use to promote growth in Asia and other markets, including the United States.
The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2022 when UE Resorts’ shares will be listed on the Nasdaq.
Jun Fujimoto, president and CEO of Universal Entertainment Corporation, said: “We have decided to change the company name of Okada Manila International, Inc to UE Resorts International, Inc to focus our combined efforts for the future growth and development of Okada Manila and our ambitions to establish a presence in other countries around the world.”
