Nagasaki to meet with potential IR partners
Authorities will answer potential partners’ concerns about the delay of the bidding process.
Japan.- Nagasaki Governor Hodo Nakamura will hold meetings with all potential integrated resort operator partners in order to listen to their concerns over the delay of the IR bidding process.
Originally scheduled for January 4 – July 30, 2021, the application window for IR bids to be submitted to national government has been pushed back to October 1, 2021 – April 28, 2022.
A new draft Basic Policy has also emerged, updated with measures related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Nagasaki Governor Nakamura said: “Nagasaki Prefecture will follow the guidance of these important policies as we proceed towards our IR development plan submission, and we will continue to also consider the perspective of IR operators as we move forward with our operator RFP and selection procedure”.
Operators that have indicated their intention to participate in the bid are Casinos Austria International, Oshidori International Holdings, and Current Corp.
