Nagasaki to establish third-party IR committee
Third-party committee will ensure a fair selection process for its IR operator partner.
Japan.- Nagasaki Governor Hodo Nakamura has revealed that a third-party committee will be established to ensure a fair selection of the prefecture’s IR operator partner.
Three firms took part in the recent RFC process – Oshidori International, Casinos Austria and Current Corporation – and selection of the prefecture’s operator partner is expected to be made in the autumn.
“The IR will create business opportunities in a wide range of fields, such as food and transportation, as well as in tourism and leisure. It will also lead to an increase in the number of permanent residents in all of Kyushu’s prefectures,” Nakamura said.
Nagasaki Prefecture is trying to attract the attention of other IR operators, as well as establishing policies to counter gambling addiction.
