Melco Resorts and Entertainment workers had been unable to fly due to strict lockdown laws but were able to make it home via a private flight paid for by the company.
According to TDM News, the flight was primarily chartered for workers with special circumstance, including pregnant women approaching their due date.
However, other Philippine nationals were granted seats as well as members of the country’s consulate.
Melco operates three casinos in Macau, as well as the City of Dreams Manila in the Philippines. It’s not yet been confirmed by the company whether the employees will temporarily join Manila’s Melco venue.
