Macau GGR drops 7% month-on-month in November

Gross gaming revenue was down 70 per cent year-on-year.

Macau.- The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) has published figures for November showing casinos gross gaming revenue has fallen 7.2 per cent month-on-month to MOP6.75bn (US$845m).

Revenue in October had reached MOP7.27bn. The figures for November represent a drop of 70.5 per cent from the MOP22.88bn seen in November 2019.

Numbers had recovered slightly in October after the increase of visitors during the Golden Week Holidays. Brokerages such as JP Morgan and Sanford C. Bernstein had already forecast that November’s figures were going to be disappointing in comparison.

The aggregate of Macau casino GGR for the 11 months to November 30 stands at MOP52.62bn, a contraction of 80.5 per cent year-on-year.
