KBO considers fan return next month
The Korean Baseball Organisation (KBO) may allow fans to return to stadiums as early as June.
South Korea.- The Korean Baseball Organisation (KBO) is considering whether to allow fans to return to stadiums as early as next month.
The league will monitor the gradual reopening of schools in South Korea and if successful, will allow fans inside stadiums once again.
KBO Secretary-General, Ryu Dae-hwan, said: “For now, we’ll have to see until next week how schools fare with their students back.”
The original plan was to allow fans back inside the grounds as early as May, but a spike in Covid-19 cases in South Korea prevented the league from doing so.
Meanwhile, bettors around the world are enjoying the KBO’s recent surge in popularity due to being broadcast on ESPN.
