K League sells broadcasting rights to 10 countries
With the league set to kick off next month, broadcasters have bought the rights to the league bringing football back to TV screens.
South Korea.- With the K League season set to get underway early next month, broadcasters around the world have bought the rights to the season in order to return football to television screens.
The K League has said that broadcasters in China, Hong Kong and Croatia have purchased rights to matches. Seven other nations have also agreed deals but details of which have not been disclosed.
Television stations and digital platforms in Germany, France, Italy, Australia and the US have inquired about purchasing broadcast rights to K League football.
The league has also revealed new media deals with international online platforms like Dugout, 433 and Copa90.
On Friday, it was announced that K League 1 and K League 2 would return on May 8, months after the original planned start date in February.
The outbreak of Coronavirus in the country quickly prevented any sport from taking place, as the government implemented comprehensive testing to track and avert further spread of the disease.
