Genting’s IR at Nam Van Lake progresses
The capping of the main building has been completed and electromechanical installation work will now begin.
Macau.- Construction work at the Resorts World Macau Lago 1 Nam Van project continues on schedule despite Covid-19.
State-owned company China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation CC) has announced it has completed the capping of the new integrated resort at Nam Van Lake and will now move forward with electromechanical installations and the construction of surrounding public facilities.
An 8,100-square-metre plot where the project is being developed is indirectly owned by Genting Malaysia Group, which said in its latest report that it had plans to develop a casino on the site.
Development of the site is being led by Treasure Island Entertainment Company Ltd, a company indirectly held by Star Cruises, which is owned by Genting Hong Kong.
Genting is also one of the potential bidders for the Osaka IR project in Japan, and it is also building a theme park at Genting Highlands in Malaysia.
