{"id":96923,"date":"2021-07-28T05:04:52","date_gmt":"2021-07-28T08:04:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/?p=96923"},"modified":"2021-07-28T08:46:13","modified_gmt":"2021-07-28T11:46:13","slug":"boyd-gaming-plans-reopening-of-main-street-station-casino","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qa.focusgn.com\/boyd-gaming-plans-reopening-of-main-street-station-casino","title":{"rendered":"Boyd Gaming plans reopening of Main Street Station casino"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The gaming company has revealed its plans to reopen the downtown Las Vegas hotel-casino later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>US.- Las Vegas-based <strong>Boyd Gaming Corp.<\/strong> has revealed plans to reopen<strong> <\/strong>the <strong>Main Street Station and Eastside Cannery hotel casinos <\/strong>if demand is high enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Executives said that downtown Las Vegas visitation is trending well and that it might soon be time to reopen the venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief financial officer Josh Hirsberg told investors: \u201cWe are in the process of making plans to <strong>potentially reopen Main Street Station downtown<\/strong>, based on growing demand for our product there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We would expect the same thing to happen over time in the locals market with Eastside Cannery.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boyd president and CEO Keith Smith, said: \u201cMain Street\u2019s future is all about downtown business and the Hawaiian business returning, and Eastside will just depend on volumes\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Company executives also announced they are developing plans for the Treasure Chest riverboat casino in Louisiana to have a land-based facility. Hirsberg said that&#8217;s likely to cost $85m \u2013 $100m and take anywhere from 18 to 24 months to build.
