The Swedish gambling regulator Spelinspektionen has issued a warning to three operators for failing to include required information on their sites.

Sweden.- The national gambling regulator Spelinspektionen has warned three companies for breaching guidance on the information that operators must display on their websites.

It found that the companies had breached section 17 of its gaming regulations since they failed to include information about deposit limits and options for self-exclusion and measuring time of play in the logout sections of their sites.

The Swedish regulator said the breaches were not serious, but that it was “neither minor nor inexcusable” either. The companies involved are bingo operator Tombola, Multilotto operator Multi Brand Gaming and SuperLottoClub operator More Tech Group.

In the case of More Tech Group, it was also warned for breaching sections 7 and 8 of Spelinspektionen’s regulations by failing to provide contact details on its website.

All three operators have corrected the breaches by adding the necessary information to their sites.

Last week Spelinspektionen issued warnings to AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) and Polar Limited for breaches of Sweden’s sports betting regulations

In the case of ATG, it breached Sweden’s prohibition of accepting bets on the performance of athletes aged under 18. In Polar’s case, it breached a prohibition of bets on fouls that lead to penalties, bookings or red cards.

Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal in Jönköping has rejected eight appeals from operators regarding sanctions for accepting bets on sports events that featured under 18s.

Earlier this week, Spelinspektionen published the results of a new survey that shows a rise in the use of unlicensed gaming sites in Sweden. Of 3,208 people who responded to the regulator’s latest survey, 7 per cent said they had used a site that wasn’t licensed in Sweden, a rise of 4 percentage points.
