Melco will reopen its casinos in Cyprus on May 17 at 30 per cent of their capacity. The capacity could be increased to 50 per cent from June 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Cyprus.- The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cyprus has allowed\u00a0Hong-Kong based Melco Resorts and Entertainment Ltd<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0reopen its venues on the island from May 17 at 30 per cent<\/strong>\u00a0capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melco’s casinos<\/a>\u00a0have been closed\u00a0since since December due to Covid-19 countermeasures.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the company, the casinos could be allowed to increase their capacity to 50 per cent\u00a0<\/strong>from June 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who want to enter the casinos will need to present a certificate to prove they had a\u00a0negative Covid-19 test<\/strong>\u00a0carried out within the last 72 hours or at least\u00a0one Covid-29 vaccine dose <\/strong>at least\u00a0three weeks prior.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People who have contracted the virus in the past six months could also be allowed to enter casinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 10, the government of Cyprus allowed the entry of visitors without having to quarantine <\/strong>as long as they have been vaccinated or if they show a negative Covid-19 test.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
